COSMO: What I Learned In May 2010

Leave it to Cosmo to support un-safe sex practices in order to get a reaction out of people. In the the Sexy Issue, they tell women that having unprotected sex might make you a bit happier in the long run. Cosmo says,
In a series of studies, researchers recruited more than 1,000 young women and asked them about condom use. Roughly half the sexually active women said they regularly use condoms, and half said they usually go bare. The researchers then tested the women's emotional status and found that those who didn't use condoms - and had therefore been exposed to semen - were less depressed than those who used protection. ... there are mood-altering hormones in semen - like testosterone and estrogen - that could contribute to this feeling. not only do researchers suspect that semen could up your odds of being happy, but evidence hints that it could lead to a longer life too.
This article was written by a "Bethany" but I'm pretty sure Bethany is code name for Guywhowantstofuckintheraw. What are they going to say next, swallowing is a new diet method? Seriously if this article's sole purpose isn't to get a reaction then I don't know what is. Telling young women that they might be happier if they "go bare" is not only un-safe but it's unethical. To Cosmo's benefit, they do add a disclaimer at the bottom of the article saying that the risks of unprotected sex outweigh the benefits of semen absorbtion, but only after they've already gotten all "scientific on you." (Their words, not mine.) What they don't tell you is how unhappy you'll be if you get HPV, which is usually dormant, years later get an irregular pap, then they have to prod you uterus, ripping a piece off to test it, only telling you that you have cervical cancer and then they remove it and you can never have children and you die sad and alone just because you didn't want to wrap it up. Did that commercial scare anyone else?!
