An Open Letter On Lindsay Lohan

Dear World Wide Web, Up until now I have not posted or commented about what's been going on with Lindsay Lohan. While I do find the case interesting and I do like to make light on celebrities' misfortunes, I also respect when something is and should be dealt with with a certain amount of tact. It is in my opinion that the effect the media, especially blogs, has been having on the case and Lindsay has only complicated matters worse. Today a verdict was issued, Lindsay Lohan must serve 90 days in jail on 3 different counts, followed by 90 days of rehabilitation services. While I do feel that Lindsay had been given numerous chances to prove herself to the court, and failed to every time, I also understand how she came to the point she has. I understand how she must have a very hard life, in all seriousness, I'm sure that the isolation from her family has made it very difficult for Lindsay to be under such a microscope as the public eye. I'm also sure that having your life scrutinized during very young and complicated times was not easy. And now this goes out to Lindsay's parents; if you love your daughter, now is the time to show her. Please step up and be real parents; support her and be there for her completely. I hope Lindsay learns something from her experience over those 6 months, I hope she uses it to help her grow and I hope that she gets the support she needs to aid her. This letter might sound corny but I am being completely sincere and only speak now because this issue will be receiving some rest.
