Game of Thrones: Pre-Premiere Round-Up

MISSING IN ACTION

Osha (Wildling Babysitter), Rickon, Shaggydog (Dire Wolf) osha-rickonWhat We Know: Bran and Rickon split up when Bran wanted to go beyond The Wall to find his destiny, so he sends Osha and Shaggydog with the littlest Stark to the Last Hearth, an ally of the Starks. Ramsay learned from Reek that Theon didn't actually kill Bran and Rickon, and Ramsay sends a hit man after the boys, but he is killed when Bran wargs into Hodor and snaps his neck. Predictions: The Boltons think the last Stark boys are dead, but Theon reveals to Sansa that they are still alive. If Sansa actually gets her footing, she might head to House Umber, where Rickon was headed with Osha, and use the Stark's remaining allies to fight against the Boltons. Is it too much to ask for a Stark sibling reunion? Even if it is with the worst, smallest Stark. Olenna Tyrell (Queen of Thorns) queen-thornsWhat We Know: The Queen of Thorns was last seen blackmailing Littlefinger in his Seven Sacked brothel. She also has an interesting conversation with Sparrow, implying that the two of them might have known each other back in the day. Predictions: Olenna will surely be using her sway to get her grandchildren out of Prison. So far she's told Baelish to be on her side or she'll get him killed for treason, but he hasn't seemed to help her much, shocker. The Queen of Thorns, might not have any other options but to team up with the Queen Regent Cersei to overthrow the Seven and free Margaery and Loras. The Martells trystane-martellWhat We Know: Doran refused Ellaria and her girl squad, the Sand Snakes, pleas to wage war with the Lannisters over Oberyn's death. Instead, Doran championed the union between Myrcella and Trystane to unite the feuding families. But just as Myrcella was about to set sail with father-uncle Jaime, Ellaria secretly poisons her. Predictions: Ellaria must be happy as a frog, just having killed Myrcella. But she not only got revenge against the Lannisters, she destroyed the union between them and the Martells. Perhaps Doran will have her and the Sand Snakes executed, or at least, banished, which would leave them free to leave Dorne, and perhaps meet up with Bronn in King's Landing? It's also possible Trystane, Myrcella's betrothed, will have something to say about the death of his princess. Gendry (Bastard Baratheon) gendryWhat We Know: Davos made Gendry peace out of Stannis' clutches when he heard Melisandre wanted to spill some more King's blood. Now he's just alone in Westeros, no one knows he's a Baratheon or even alive. Predictions: Gendry is now the last remaining true Baratheon (if Stannis is indeed dead), which technically makes him the heir to the Iron Throne, or at least gives him a good claim to it. Problem is, he has no allies, no money, no army, no one even knows he's alive... kind of similar to Dany's situation in season 1. Gendry's best option would be to head over to Essos, where he could possibly team up with his old friend Arya, or Tyrion who would love to throw the Lannisters out of the throne room. Nymeria (Arya's), Ghost (Jon's) [Direwolves] nymeriaWhat We Know: Nymeria bit Joffrey in season 1 for threatening Arya. So Arya set her free and she is running somewhere around the Riverlands now, never to be seen or heard from again, kind of like Arya. Ghost was last seen protecting Gilly and Sam at Castle Black, but was missing when Jon was shanked by his brothers in black.ghost Predictions: Nymeria, like Arya, is elusive. It's possible she may come back at any moment to kill an enemy of the Starks. Meanwhile, why was Ghost missing when Jon was being slaughtered by his men? Ghost has always shown up just in time, but when his master needed him most, he was MIA. Could Ghost be up to more important things?
